Deputies responded around 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 to the fast food restaurant in the Towne Center at Aquia on a report of a disturbance, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

Officers met a worker, who said that a drunk man had been asked to leave after throwing trash at an employee.

The man, later identified as 34-year-old James Beach, had paired his breakfast with an alcoholic beverage he brought into the eatery, and became loud and belligerent, police said.

Beach was nabbed near Washington Drive and later charged with assault and battery and public intoxication, authorities said.

He was being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until he was sober enough to participate in a bond hearing.
